The aim of the project is to develop and implement a system for an innovative photovoltaic farm based on a composite structure together with an innovative single-wire power distribution system, forming the basis of distributed energy. The entire system will be designed for development on post-mining degraded areas, wetlands and water reservoirs. An important feature of the developed solution will be its ability to relocate the entire system as degraded areas are rehabilitated.

Specific objectives are:

  1. Development of a composite structural floating systems and a supporting structure for the PV panels.
  2. Development of an energy efficient SWET (Single Wire Energy Transmission) system for transmitting electricity.
  3. Development of a photovoltaic tracker (PVT) for the construction of a farm on water and an energy management system (EMS) for the energy harvested from the PV farm.
  4. Development of an anchoring system for a floating PV farm for specific site and ground conditions.
  5. Conducting research and testing to ensure safe operation of the complete power generation, storage and transmission system.
  6. Development of a necessary project documentation for the entire construction and electrical scope of the project and to carry out a PV pilot and build the complete system.
